The K96 Corridor Development Association was launched in 2005 as a result of a study undertaken by Reno and Sedgwick counties to identify areas most likely to accomodate growth and development and ways to collaborate on programs that support growth. Our mission is to assist the corridor communities of South Hutchinson, Haven, Mount Hope, Colwich and Maize with orderly and efficient development. We also serve to market the Corridor and our communities. We are a non-profit membership based organization funded and guided by our members. Our members are a diverse mix of government and business leaders with a common goal of supporting regionalism and development along the corridor. We are led by a 9 member board of directors whose members come from the corridor communities, Reno county and our top level private sector members.
Our programs and work includes:
participation in regional collaboration and advocacy of the region
working with state, local and business leaders on local projects
sharing information on policy and legislation at all levels that impact our region
conduct informative meetings, programs and events
access to policy makers and program managers at State and local level
- networking designed to share knowledge, expertise and experiences with other members
